The Films were shot and the results are in - we had 15 finalists, a huge presentation screen and 300+ people attending for the first ever Stinkwater24! Screening and Awards Night, on Sunday 4th February! Couldn't make it? PJ Collins & Kate Mills Further Information Ever wanted to make a short film? Have a great idea but never had the chance to screen it? Grab a camera, some friends and head to Coogee Beach for a fun weekend as you turn your idea from page to screen in just 24 hours! What is Stinkwater! 24!? The Stinkwater! 24! Hour Film Festival is the only 24 hour filmmaking festival in Sydney. Teams of filmmakers, professional, amateur and even first timers, compete on a level playing field for cash and industry prizes. But the pressure is on……..script, act, edit and deliver your film in just 24 hours. It’s dog eat dog filmmaking……and lots of fun. Prizes: First place: $1,000 Second place: a night for two at Crowne Plaza Coogee & Limited Edition T-Shirts Third place: a seafood buffet for two at Crowne Plaza Coogee & Limited Edition T-Shirts All participants must: • make their film in and around Coogee Beach, Sydney • include places and items from the same set of criteria, handed to the teams on the registration night • make their film from scratch • hand the completed film in to the registration desk before the 24 hours is up. All you need is an enthusiastic team and a camera. Films can be edited in camera or by editing software but no filming must take place before the competition begins. What sort of team? Friends, family, schoolmates, girlfriends, drunks from the pub – we don’t care, just get a camera and start shooting. Remarkable storytelling is possible in just 24 hours and you don’t have to be a professional. How do we enter? Entry to Stinkwater! 24! is OPEN NOW. Entry Forms and Release Forms, are available from the website or by entering on the registration night at the Cushion Bar courtyard. Entries can be submitted up until 7.30 p.m. Friday 2nd February 2007. Producers must make sure that all participating members of their team are official entrants of Stinkwater! 24! and that they are made aware of the Entry Guidelines (pdf) and the Terms and Conditions of Entry (pdf) before entering the event. Any participants in a filmmaking team participating in Stinkwater! 24! who do not officially enter are not covered by Night Sky Productions public liability insurance and are ineligible for any category prizes. Entry Forms will not be accepted if incomplete.
